Package Cooling Towers (FGS & FM Ranges)



Our modular and package range of cooling towers are marketed under the renowned Searle Bush brand.

These towers are designed for general Industrial use and the range consists of a large number of models which can be used singularly or in multiple configurations.

These towers have the following general specifications.

NON-CORRODING:

Searle Bush Cooling Towers are constructed from no-corroding materials and are designed for long life under extreme damp and contaminated conditions. The shell is constructed from heavy duty fiberglass. All internal parts are made of PVC, 3CR12, stainless steel or polypropylene and all fasteners are grade 304 stainless steel.

EFFICIENT OPERATION:

All Searle Bush Cooling Towers are of counterflow induced draught design for optimum performance. The water enters the tower at the top and is evenly distributed over the fill material while the air enters through the inlets at the bottom and is discharged vertically by the fan. Various types of film and splash packing in different materials can be installed to accommodate any operating conditions.

RELIABILITY:

Searle Bush Cooling Towers are fitted with a static water distribution system with non-clogging nozzles. The exclusion of all moving parts except for the motor-fan assembly gives the towers excellent reliability with minimal maintenance. The unique basin design which incorporates air inlets located away from the falling water precludes the need to install louvers giving low inlet pressure losses and maintenance costs. A light polypropylene grid across these inlets prevents entry of leaves or litter into the tower basin.

EASY INSTALLATION USING CRANE:

Even the largest Searle Bush Cooling Towers, which are fully assembled prior to delivery, can be lifted and placed in position by a mobile crane preventing extended on-site erection periods.

SERVICE:

Searle Bush Cooling Towers are 100% South African content and are assembled at our factory. A comprehensive range of spars are kept to assist customers at short notice. Service calls are undertaken throughout Africa and even further afield. IWC can arrange transport if necessary and in most cases our engineers are present during installation.
